Smith applauded $5.3 million in funding for MAHC and West Parry Sound Health
MPP Graydon Smith is highlighting new provincial funding for local hospitals, calling it an important boost for health care in Parry Sound–Muskoka.
The province is directing more than $5.3 million to Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare and the West Parry Sound Health Centre for the 2026 to 2027 fiscal year. Smith says the investment will help strengthen hospital operations and improve access to care closer to home.
He says the funding supports emergency departments, diagnostic services, and efforts to reduce wait times, while also helping hospitals manage ongoing staffing and cost pressures.
Smith is framing the investment as part of a broader effort to ensure local health services remain stable and accessible for residents across the region.
