Residents have until September 26th to make comments
The Township of Muskoka Lakes is inviting residents to provide final feedback on a new Fire Station Location Study.
The review, launched in 2023, assessed all 10 township fire stations, highlighting aging infrastructure, space limits, and overlapping coverage.
Consultants and staff developed three options, with a recommended plan consolidating to seven modernized stations to improve efficiency and safety.
Fire Chief Ryan Murrell presented the study and financial strategy to the General/Finance Committee in August, and now the township wants community input before the plan moves to Council for final approval.
