Fifty writers produced 1,500 pages in 72 hours
The Muskoka Novel Marathon has raised more than $330,000 for adult literacy programs over the past 25 years.
The milestone was announced during this year's event, held July 16th to 19th at Port Sydney Community Hall.
The 2026 marathon raised at least $17,500, with donations still coming in.
This year's event brought together 50 writers, who produced about 1,500 pages over 72 hours. Money raised supports free literacy programs through the Huntsville YMCA, including tutoring, digital literacy, numeracy and English-language instruction.
