The proposed names reflect the regions nature, culture and history
New road names are being proposed in Huntsville, with a focus on local heritage, wildlife and Indigenous connections.
Council will review a bylaw later this month that includes names like Pine Marten Road, Timberwolf Lane and Bear Waters Path, reflecting the region’s natural environment and cultural significance.
Other proposed names recognize community history, including Spanner Circle and McCaffery Lane, honouring local veterans and public service.
Residents have until mid-May to submit feedback before council makes a final decision.
