The fire danger rating is set to low, but daytime burning is prohibited
With spring in the air, Muskoka Fire Chiefs are reminding residents to stay aware of fire risks.
Starting today, the Muskoka Fire Danger Rating is set at LOW, but daytime burning restrictions are now in effect across much of the district.
Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, and Lake of Bays all prohibit daytime fires, while Georgian Bay and Muskoka Lakes allow burning only with a valid permit.
The Muskoka fire season runs from April 1 to October 31, and ratings are updated daily.
