Ontario Provincial Police say two drivers are facing impaired driving charges after separate incidents in the Bracebridge area during Canada Road Safety Week.
Police say officers with the Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team first noticed a suspicious vehicle on Depot Drive in Bracebridge on Thursday. A 29-year-old local man was arrested and charged with impaired operation and related offences.
Later that day, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in Muskoka Lakes Township. A 31-year-old driver was later located with assistance from the OPP K9 and emergency response teams and also faces multiple charges, including impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene.
