Six have been arrested, but police say more suspects are still on the loose
Police have provided an update on the identities of the six people charged in a violent home invasion near Huntsville, and police say more suspects may still be on the loose.
Early Tuesday morning, OPP responded to an armed break-in at a private residence in the Hillside area. The incident triggered a major manhunt, shut down Highway 11 in both directions for several hours, and prompted a hold-and-secure for stranded motorists.
Charged are Moesaiah Edwards of Mississauga, Dante Williams of Oshawa, D’Andre Brathwaite of Ajax, Rayquoi Chow of Brampton, Peter Stewart of North York, and a 16-year-old from Toronto.
Together, they face dozens of charges, including robbery with a firearm, kidnapping, assault with a weapon, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Police are still looking for additional suspects.
