Police believe it was a hunting incident
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death in Kearney linked to a hunting incident involving a firearm.
Emergency crews were called to a bush area near Snowmobile Trail D around 9 a.m. Monday, where a 71-year-old person from Greater Napanee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Almaguin Highlands OPP Crime Unit is leading the investigation with assistance from the Criminal Investigation Branch, the coroner’s office, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
