Most customers are expected to be reconnected by tonight, however some new outages may occur
Freezing rain has knocked out power to thousands of customers across the region.
Hydro One says the ice buildup overnight caused a number of outages, and crews are working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
The utility is also warning that more outages could occur, with freezing rain expected to continue throughout the day.
Restoration times vary, with some customers expected to have power back this afternoon or later this evening.
