The hospital had been working with reduced power while upgrades were underway
Power has been fully restored at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital following a planned infrastructure upgrade.
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare says the work involved new automatic transfer switches designed to improve how quickly the hospital can move to backup power during outages.
Officials say the upgrade strengthens reliability and helps ensure patient care continues without interruption during emergencies.
