Fire Depts include Huntsville, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Lake of Bays and Muskoka Lakes
The Ontario government is investing more than $330,000 to support firefighters across Muskoka.
The funding, part of the province’s $20 million Fire Protection Grant program, will enhance firefighter health and safety, expand cancer prevention efforts, and improve responses to lithium-ion battery incidents.
A total of 380 municipal fire departments will receive support, including Bracebridge with nearly $33,000, Gravenhurst over $51,000, Huntsville just over $30,000, Lake of Bays about $53,000, and Muskoka Lakes receiving the largest share at more than $164,000.
