The health unit will use the data anonymously, to help understand local health needs
Residents across Simcoe Muskoka may soon hear from public health by phone.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says it’s inviting adults to take part in a short telephone survey aimed at better understanding local health needs.
The Rapid Risk Factor Surveillance System survey is conducted by York University on behalf of the health unit and asks questions about topics like tobacco, alcohol and cannabis use, vaccinations, food security and climate change.
Participation is voluntary, takes about 10 minutes, and can be scheduled at a convenient time. The health unit says responses are anonymous and help guide public health programs and prevention efforts.
