Residents are looking to the municpality for leadership on the issue
Residents in Port Carling are voicing concern after Scotiabank announced the closing its Port Carling branch next year with all services moving to the Gravenhurst branch.
The bank cites growing use of online and mobile banking as the reason for the closure. Meanwhile, residents are frustrated and looking to the municipality to find a new bank to service the community.
Scotiabank says clients can continue to use any branch, ATM, or digital banking services, and staff will assist during the transition.
