A routine traffic stop on Highway 400 has led to a long list of charges against a Sudbury man.

Bracebridge OPP say an officer stopped a vehicle Monday afternoon in Georgian Bay Township for a Highway Traffic Act offence. During the investigation, police arrested the driver and found a firearm inside the vehicle.

A 42-year-old Sudbury man is facing multiple charges, including prohibited driving, several firearms offences and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on July 24.
