A large sinkhole has forced the closure of Highway 11 North near Sparrow Lake Route D in Gravenhurst yesterday. Bracebridge OPP responded to reports just before 2 p.m. Thursday after several vehicles hit the sinkhole, causing damage. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Highway 11 North remains closed at Coopers Falls Road as crews work on repairs.
Police urge drivers to avoid the area, with the closure expected to last until later this morning.
