A 19-year-old man was killed after being struck by a tree
Ontario Provincial Police say a 19-year-old man has died after being struck by a falling tree during Monday night’s severe storm near Huntsville.
Huntsville OPP responded to the incident around 9 o’clock on Clearwater Lake Road in Port Sydney as strong thunderstorms moved through the region, bringing down trees and hydro lines across several roads.
Police say hazardous conditions remain in parts of the area, with ongoing reports of debris and downed wires. Drivers are being urged to use caution and treat intersections without power as four-way stops.
