The criers will celebrate the history of Gravenhurst's RMS Segwun
Muskoka's steamship history will be celebrated this weekend with the help of some very distinctive voices.
Eleven official town criers from across Ontario will gather at Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst Sunday morning to commemorate the RMS Segwun and the region's historic steamship fleet.
The criers will compete with historical and humorous proclamations about Muskoka's ships, with the public invited to judge the performances.
The event begins at 11 a.m., followed by a special lunch cruise aboard Wenonah II featuring photo opportunities with the town criers in full traditional dress.
