One driver was pulled over by police, while the second fled the scene on foot after a crash
The Ontario Provincial Police says two more drivers are facing impaired driving charges in the Bracebridge area during Canada Road Safety Week.
Police say the first arrest happened Thursday afternoon on Depot Drive in Bracebridge after officers observed a vehicle being driven in what they described as a concerning manner during an unrelated investigation.
Later that evening, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in Muskoka Lakes Township where the driver had reportedly left the scene. With assistance from the OPP K9 and Emergency Response teams, police located and arrested the suspect several hours later.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in court in Bracebridge at the end of June.
