Residents should remain cautious as rain is in the forecast
Water levels are starting to recede in parts of Huntsville, but flood concerns remain across the region. The town is still under a Ministry of Natural Resources flood warning, with conditions stabilizing in the downtown core while higher water continues along the Muskoka River south of Brunel Locks and in Port Sydney.
Officials are urging residents to stay cautious with more rain in the forecast.
The town says flooded well water should be considered unsafe, and drivers are reminded to avoid closed or water-covered roads.
Sandbags remain available at the Active Living Centre and Port Sydney Fire Department.
