The former Huntsville councilor moved to Lake of Bays and wants to bring financial accountability to the municipality
The race for mayor in Lake of Bays is beginning to take shape. Former Huntsville councillor and longtime community volunteer Tim Withey has officially filed his nomination papers for the October municipal election, becoming the second candidate to enter the race.
Withey says his campaign will focus on financial accountability, environmental sustainability and healthcare. He also wants to explore ways to improve municipal services while reducing costs for taxpayers.
A former Huntsville and District councillor, Withey brings decades of experience in municipal government and healthcare governance, having served on numerous hospital and community boards throughout Muskoka. He recently moved to Baysville after more than 38 years in Huntsville.
