Several drivers were forced to take avoiding action
OPP have laid multiple charges after a dangerous incident on Highway 11 near Gravenhurst.
Bracebridge OPP say officers responded Tuesday afternoon to reports of a vehicle travelling the wrong way in the southbound lanes, forcing several drivers to take evasive action to avoid a crash.
Police located the vehicle and arrested 20-year-old Wabin Edwards from Fort Albany, Ontario, who now faces a series of charges including impaired driving, dangerous operation, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
Officers say the accused was also driving without proper supervision as a G1 licence holder.
She remains in custody pending a bail hearing. Police are reminding the public to call 9-1-1 if they suspect an impaired driver.
