The Bay Food Crew

The Bay Food Crew is a dedicated community initiative on a mission to fight local hunger across Muskoka and Almaguin. By partnering with generous local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers, we pool resources, collect essential donations, and coordinate food deliveries directly to where they are needed most. Together with our partners, The Bay Food Crew spends over $100,000 every year to help local families in need.
 

What We Do & Who Benefits

Our primary focus is ensuring that no family in our region goes without nutritious meals. The Bay Food Crew works directly with local food relief initiatives and community assistance programs to provide ongoing support, seasonal assistance, and emergency supplies. Over the years, our outreach has extended across Muskoka and Almaguin—including foundational support and past deliveries to regional food banks in Huntsville and in Bracebridge.

Today, our main focus is supporting The Corner Lighthouse, where we deliver food every single month to keep their shelves stocked year-round. We also extend our reach north into Almaguin with support to the Burk's Falls and District Food Bank several times a year, including special efforts tied to annual community events like the Santa Ski Show in Kearney. Building on our strong tradition of regional outreach, our efforts culminate each holiday season in a massive community initiative, partnering with organizations like the Corner Lighthouse, Burk’s Falls District Food Band and the Baysville Winter Pantry - enough food to feed over 500 families at Christmas.
