The Ontario 55-plus Winter Games are officially underway in Huntsville after a packed and high-energy Tuesday night at the Canada Summit Centre.
Hundreds filled the arena for the Opening Ceremonies, highlighted by a celebrity skate featuring four-time world champion Kurt Browning and U.S. champion Alissa Czisny.
Yesterday, more than one-thousand athletes from across Ontario begin competition in 11 winter sports at venues throughout Muskoka, supported by over 300 local volunteers.
Festivities continued into the night with a Lanterns and Ice watch party at River Mill Park.
Final events and medal ceremonies take place today at venues across the region, celebrating standout athletic performances.
