Alcock says her priorities includes housing
The Town of Huntsville has officially activated Strong Mayor Powers as of May 1.
Mayor Nancy Alcock signed her first four decisions under the new authority on May 28, delegating responsibilities to the town’s CAO and Council. The changes give the CAO control over the town’s structure and staffing, while Council retains the ability to hire or fire the CAO.
Committee leadership remains unchanged. Alcock says the move reflects her trust in the town’s leadership and her focus on priorities like housing.
All decisions will be posted on the town’s website.
