The man remains in custody
Provincial police in Bracebridge are investigating a violent assault that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident happened late on May 27 in a wooded area west of Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst.
A 33-year-old Armour Township man, Matthew Hughes, has been charged with aggravated assault, firearms offences, and drug trafficking.
He remains in custody and is due in Bracebridge court July 8. The Muskoka Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
