This District says 80% of residence's have switched to clear bags
The District of Muskoka is reminding residents that changes are coming soon at local waste facilities.
Officials say more than 80 per cent of residence's are already using clear garbage bags, which help staff sort waste properly, identify hazardous materials, and extend the life of local landfills.
Starting the week of February 9, black or opaque garbage bags will face an added fee at all waste facilities.
