Residents may notice smoke
Bracebridge residents may notice smoke in the area next week, but there’s no need for alarm — it’s all part of a training exercise.
The Bracebridge Fire Department will be conducting live-fire training from May 7 to 11 at Station 1 on Taylor Road.
Firefighters will use the Ontario Fire College’s Mobile Live Fire Training Unit, designed to simulate real-life fire conditions with extreme heat, smoke, and low visibility.
The training is not open to the public.
