The initiative is an education campaign on fire safety
Bracebridge firefighters are going door-to-door every Monday evening this summer as part of their annual fire safety campaign.
Uniformed crews will be out from 7 to 9 p.m. each week through to September, reminding residents to test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and to review their home escape plans. Firefighters won’t be entering homes — it’s all about education and prevention.
With a recent rise in residential fires, officials are urging everyone to stay alert and ensure all alarms are working.
