Council gathered at the new Bracebridge 150 Forest
Bracebridge marked its 150th anniversary with the opening of a new community forest.
Mayor Rick Maloney, council, and residents gathered today to unveil the Bracebridge 150 Forest, located between Little Ryans Way and Gostick Park.
The site features a wide variety of native trees, from maples and birch to apple and hemlock, as part of the town’s Urban Tree Management Plan.
Officials say the project is a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship and a gift for future generations.
