The new facility won the 2025 Parks & Rec Award of Excellence
Bracebridge’s Muskoka Lumber Community Centre has won the 2025 Parks and Recreation Ontario Award of Excellence for facility design.
Opened in August 2024, the 113,000-square-foot centre combines a multi-sport fieldhouse, NHL-sized arena, public library, and event spaces, all designed for accessibility, sustainability, and community connection.
Mayor Rick Maloney says the award reflects the centre’s role as a hub for sports, culture, and social life, and a source of pride for the town.
