Several cattle were killed when the tractor trailer flipped, with others escaping on to the highway
A tractor trailer carrying cattle overturned on Highway 11 near Fraserburg Road last night, leading to a number of cows on the highway in Bracebridge.
Police say several animals inside the trailer were killed in the crash, while others broke loose and ran from the scene.
Traffic was slowed in both directions while OPP and emergency crews worked to round up the surviving cattle and clear the area.
No word yet on injuries to the driver. Police continue to investigate what caused the rollover.
