Dirt bike rider airlifted to trauma centre after crash

The incident took place on South Mary Lake Rd in Port Sydney

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on South Mary Lake Road in Port Sydney Monday evening.

Huntsville OPP say the rider was ejected from his dirt bike near Macks Road around 5:18 p.m. Emergency crews from Huntsville, Lake of Bays, and Muskoka Ambulance responded, and the man was airlifted by ORNGE to a Toronto trauma centre.

The road was closed for several hours for investigation. Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash to contact the OPP.
