Muskoka has a new leader for its emergency services.
The District has appointed JC Gilbert as Chief of Paramedic Services and Emergency Management, starting September 22. Gilbert brings more than 20 years of paramedic experience, including 19 in leadership, and is known for advancing community paramedicine and rapid response programs.
He also played a key role in Simcoe County’s COVID-19 response and most recently managed emergency preparedness at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Officials say his focus will be on staff wellness, evidence-based planning, and building strong community partnerships.
