Services can be provided at community hubs, district office or online
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is now on a nationwide strike, halting mail and parcel delivery.
The District of Muskoka says residents who rely on postal services for Ontario Works support or water and sewer payments will still have options.
Ontario Works clients who usually receive cheques by mail can pick them up at community service hubs in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and Huntsville.
Water and sewer bills can still be paid online, by pre-authorized debit, at most banks, or in person at the District office. Provincial Offences services remain available at poa@muskoka.on.ca or by visiting paytickets.ca.
