Tests will take place on Wednesday and Friday
It’s Emergency Preparedness Week in Muskoka, and local officials are urging residents to plan ahead for any season. The Muskoka Emergency Response Committee says a test of the #AlertMuskoka system will happen Friday, May 9th at 10am via the Voyent Alert! app. It delivers emergency notices for floods, fires, storms, and more. If you haven’t signed up yet, visit muskoka.on.ca/alertmuskoka. The theme this year is “Plan for Every Season.”
Nationally, an emergency alert test will take place on radio, tv and on mobile phones at 12.55pm on Wednesday.
