Trick or Treaters are advised to follow important safety tips
As Halloween approaches, the Fire Dept. is sharing important safety tips to keep trick-or-treaters safe.
Families are reminded to trick-or-treat together, wear bright or reflective clothing with flashlights, and stick to well-lit, familiar neighbourhoods.
To prevent fire hazards, use battery-operated candles inside pumpkins and ensure costumes are flame-resistant.
Finally, motorists are urged to slow down and watch for pedestrians.
