The donation came from Gravenhurst power utility Elexicon's annual charity golf tourney
The Gravenhurst Health Hub is getting a boost from Elexicon Energy’s annual charity golf tournament. The event raised a record $65,000 this year, with the Health Hub among six organizations receiving support.
The donation will help move forward plans to expand the facility, which is expected to open in 2027. The project will make room for additional family doctors and nurse practitioners, expanded health services and, eventually, diagnostic imaging.
More than 6,000 people in the Gravenhurst area are without a local family doctor or nurse practitioner. The expanded hub is intended to help address that shortage.
