Seasonal flooding is expected and the statement is in effect until Friday
The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a flood outlook for the region in effect until Friday. Rising runoff from rain and snowmelt is expected to increase water levels across the Muskoka River watershed.
Residents are advised to monitor local forecasts, avoid fast-moving rivers and streams, and secure vulnerable property.
In Bracebridge, a limited supply of free sandbags is available at the Municipal Office at 1000 Taylor Court.
