Mayor Nancy Alcock says Clarke helped build the Huntsville that residents rely on today
The Town of Huntsville has lowered the flag at Town Hall to half-mast following the passing of former mayor Terry Clarke.
Clarke served two terms from 1985 to 1991, overseeing major projects that still shape the community today — including the revitalization of the Brunel Locks, construction of the Golden Pheasant Wastewater Treatment Plant, the McCulley ball diamonds, and Riverside Park. He also helped create Muskoka’s first waste-recycling program during his time as District Chair of Public Works.
Mayor Nancy Alcock says the community is deeply saddened by his loss and is honouring a leader who helped build the Huntsville residents rely on today.
