Grade 7 students will receive routine vaccinations
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is bringing back in-school vaccination clinics.
Grade 7 students across the region will receive routine immunizations, and Grade 8 students who missed their shots last year can also catch up.
Clinics will run through June in partnership with local school boards, with notices going home to families in advance.
Vaccines offered protect against hepatitis B, meningitis, and HPV, which can help prevent several cancers.
The meningococcal vaccine is mandatory under Ontario law, while the others are strongly recommended.
