Service will start to be restored this evening
A severe line of thunderstorms and high winds is causing power outages across central and northeastern Ontario.
Hydro One says crews are working as quickly as possible to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses.
Some residents can expect to see the power restored this evening, while some outages are still being assessed and may take longer.
If you are without power, you can report your outage by texting 92887, or through the Hydro One outage map and app.
Hydro One reminds everyone to stay at least 10 metres away from any fallen power lines, even if they don't look live. Report any downed lines to 9-1-1 and Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.
