The new space will allow hospice to extend programs and services
Hospice Huntsville has officially completed a major expansion, adding an estimated 30,000 square feet to its facility. The new Community Program Expansion will allow the hospice to extend programs and services beyond its five-bed residence, Algonquin Grace.
The expansion includes more family spaces, private counselling rooms, gathering areas for grief support programs, and fully accessible outdoor spaces. Executive Director Rebecca Ellerson says the improvements reflect the community’s generosity and commitment to compassionate end-of-life care.
Hospice Huntsville relies on donations to provide these programs at no charge and hopes the new facilities will help meet the growing demand for grief and bereavement support in Huntsville, Lake of Bays, and the Almaguin Highlands.
