Huntsville joins The District, Lake of Bays and Bracebridge
Freezing rain and winter storm warnings have prompted the Town of Huntsville to declare a Significant Weather Event.
Town officials say hazardous conditions are expected to affect road and sidewalk maintenance, and residents should be aware that normal service levels may take longer than usual.
Public Works crews will continue winter operations and closely monitor conditions, but people are urged to use caution and avoid non-essential travel.
The District of Muskoka, Lake of Bays and Bracebridge have also declared a Significant Weather Event for all District roads, also effective December 28.
