Huntsville OPP responded to a disturbance on Yonge Street on Monday, March 17, around 8:19 p.m., involving a group of males and concerns of a possible forcible confinement.
Police say their investigation determined a male had assaulted a victim and then threatened further harm if they contacted authorities. The suspect was later arrested and found in possession of a controlled substance.
25-year-old, Tyler McWilliams, of Huntsville, faces charges including assault, uttering threats, intimidation, and drug possession. He is set to appear in Bracebridge court on April 29.
Police say this was an isolated incident with no threat to public safety.
