Hydro One expects most people will see power restored by this evening
Over 6,000 customers are without power after scattered thunderstorms rolled through the area.
The most heavily affected areas include Lake of Bays and Algonquin Highlands area with over 5,500 customers in the dark alone.
Other areas, generally are smaller outages.
Hydro One says crews have been dispatched and expect that most customers will be reconnected by early this evening.
