The teen faces impaired charges and leaving the scene
A Huntsville teen is facing impaired driving charges following a crash earlier this week.
Huntsville OPP say officers were called Tuesday afternoon around 3:15 to a single-vehicle collision on Brunel Road near Muskoka Road 10.
Police say multiple motorists reported the crash, but the driver left the scene without contacting authorities. Damage was reported to a guardrail.
Officers later located the driver at a residence and say they suspected impairment. Following sobriety testing, the 17-year-old was arrested.
The accused is charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol level above zero as a young driver, and failing to remain at the scene.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Bracebridge on May 7.
