The USS Nomad Star Trek Fan Club will be heading a walk this weekend to honour those who’ve served.
The Canadian Walk for Veterans comes to Huntsville on Saturday, September 20 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232.
Registration starts at one o’clock, with the walk beginning at 1:30. The nationwide event raises awareness of the challenges veterans and their families face after service, while supporting programs that offer rehabilitation and renewed purpose.
Organizers say it’s a chance for individuals, groups, and businesses to show support and walk shoulder to shoulder with those who’ve worn the uniform.
