Nelson has a MMA record of 16 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw
Huntsville’s Kyle “The Monster” Nelson is preparing for a comeback match at UFC Fight Night in Vancouver on October 18, following a controversial first-round TKO loss to Steve Garcia last September at UFC Vegas.
Nelson’s camp alleges that Garcia landed an illegal elbow to the back of his head during the final flurry, a move that went unpenalized by the referee, sparking calls from fans for the result to be overturned.
Nelson, who had been riding a four-fight unbeaten streak before that bout, will face New York’s Matt Frevola, who is also looking to rebound from consecutive knockouts.
“The Monster” is determined to return to winning form and prove he remains a contender in the lightweight division.
