A mail strike could cause delays in payments or tax bills
The Township of Lake of Bays is warning residents that a potential Canada Post strike may cause mail delays and service disruptions.
Planning notices, by-law infraction orders, mailed payments and tax bills may be affected. Residents are urged to check planning notices online and use alternative payment methods like pre-authorized payments, online banking, or Plastiq for credit cards.
Vendors are encouraged to switch to electronic payments to avoid delays. For details, contact Accounts Payable at the township.
