The organization is working on plans for Bracebridge and Huntsville hospitals
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare says progress is continuing on its plan to redevelop hospitals in both Huntsville and Bracebridge.
The nearly $1 billion project is still under provincial review, but officials say talks with the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health have been positive.
The MAHC is also finalizing a land deal with the Town of Bracebridge and is working on site plans for the Huntsville redevelopment.
Construction could begin as early as 2029. The goal is to build two new state-of-the-art hospital sites to meet Muskoka’s future health care needs.
